Daily Thought – Vision from God
“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keeps the law, happy is he.” Prov 29:18
Are we tired and almost lost hope. Let’s mediate together.
1. Nothing can overcome you: “But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.” Acts 2:24 Lord told; death could not hold Jesus in grave, the same spirit that brought Jesus out of grave dwells in us too.
2. Correct your perspective. “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keeps the law, happy is he.” Prov 29:18. This time Lord taught, our life is the way we look at. Correct our perspective to believe, we have victory in blood of Jesus. See ourselves as a conqueror and never a defeated one.
3. Hope against Hope. Matthew 28:5 “The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus …” Do not worry Lord reminded us what He taught us before. “Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken” Rom 4:18. Hope against hope.
4. PIT [People in Training] “If you have raced with men on foot and they have worn you out, how can you compete with horses?” Jer 12:5. What we are going through is training ground to run with horses (Lord has chosen us to do great things). Joseph suffered for 13 years, Moses was crushed for 40 years in wilderness, and Abraham was in waiting for 25 years. Hallelujah; are you also in this league? How awesome; free training from God.
5. When will this end “The vision will still happen at the appointed time.” Hab 2:3. What ever perspective we have and what we believe is for an appointed time. It will happen at the perfect time of God. So Psalm 27:14 “Wait for the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the LORD.” Bible says hope of righteous will never be disappointed; Jesus said it is not for us to know when. And it says you will get an expected end, what an eye has never seen. Yes it is sure, just now “being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.” Rom 4:21.
Prayer: Yes Lord we know we are blessed beyond curse, Yes Lord no situation can ever overpower us. Yes we will do great things for God. Lord will use us to transform nations. We are more than a conqueror, we can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens, No man can stand against the plans that our Lord has kept for us. All things are possible with our Lord “If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them” John 13:17 . Amen.
Daily Thought – Exaltation from above!!
Word: Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 1 Peter 5:6
Thought: Many of us have a good start but do not wait for a heavenly exaltation. We have a humble start in the Lord and as we grow sometimes our pride also grows along with it. This pride is like a thorn which grows along with the good plant and could choke it anytime and is a power tool used by our ‘adversary’. Jesus overcame this wonderfully well from the time of temptation on the mountain to the time on the cross and waited for His father to exalt him to His right hand. This humble and awaiting for the heavenly exaltation is needed for us, else we could be choked easily with the pride that grows in us. Also we need to wait humbly for His time, rather than searching for exaltation in our own ways – this could be in any walk of life and especially in work and ministry. Let us humble and wait under the hand of God for a mighty exaltation from above in due time.
Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to wait on you humbly that you might exalt me in due time. Let me not be carried away by pride and be lost in the world. Amen.
Daily Thought – Restored
Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I will now restore the fortunes … and will have compassion …. Eze 39:25
Background: Israelites sinned and they went into captivity under Babylon, Lord promised deliverance through Jeremiah and Ezekiel. Lord promised to His people through Ezekiel many things about their future. The above verse confirms two acts from the Lord, restoring fortune and having compassion. When we are under the yoke [might be of sickness, fear, debts], His promise is the way out.
Application: Many times we keep looking for physical signs and we miss out on the power of His word. When we claim the promise from the Lord that He will surely restore, it has power to break every yoke, when we dwell on the confirmation of His compassion, it will result in peace and strength. Do we really believe and meditate on His promise, do we realize the security that comes from His compassion
Prayer: Father Lord, I believe in Your promise that you will restore the fortune and there is amazing power in receiving compassion from the Almighty God. Amen.
Daily Thought – My Defender and My Deliverer
This concludes the prayers of David son of Jesse Ps 72:20
Psalm 72 is a prayer of David; it is a very beautiful prayer, few things that touched me
Defend: “May he defend the afflicted among the people and save the children of the needy” Ps 72:4 When we feel we are not able handle our situations, in need and in affliction, our Lord defends, for the word says “He will take pity on the weak and the needy and save the needy from death.” Ps 72:13
Deliver: “For he will deliver the needy who cry out, the afflicted who have no one to help” Ps 72:12. When we are in tough situation, when we feel there is not way out, Lord Delivers, for the word says “He will rescue them from oppression and violence” Ps 72:14
Prayer: My defender and my deliverer, all I need; is just you alone. Amen.
Daily Thought – Back to Haran — You will come back
Jacob left Beersheba and set out for Harran. Gen 28:10
Abraham was called out of Haran and was asked to go to a land which the Lord promised to give to His descendants. Now we see Abraham’s grandson, Jacob going back to the Haran, place where Abraham was called from or started from, to escape the anger of Esau and also to find a bride for himself. We know later after many years Jacob came back to the Promised Land. Does it look like what we are going through now; going back to the place we started from. Once we were lifted from miry clay and the pit, now again it looks like we have fallen back or slowly drifting. What does the Lord has to say?
Faith in God: “He had a dream in which he saw a stairway …There above it stood the LORD, and he said…. will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.” Gen 28:12-15. Remember Lord is reminding us, now we might be going through tough times, but Lord is watching and He will surely fulfill what He has promised to us.
Fear the Lord: “When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, Surely the LORD is in this place, and I was not aware of it.” He was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place..” Gen 28:16,17 Let us be very much aware Lord is with us, let us live in Holy fear. Conduct our lives in Godly fear. Fear of the Lord it is beginning of wisdom.
Prayer: Dear Lord; I know you will fulfill all the promises, you are great and awesome God. Thank you Lord, for you are watching over me. Amen.
