Risen from Poverty to District Rank Holder & Gold Medalist and Promoted in Tier 1 US Based MNC

My father was a Government Training Officer and my mother a Housewife i.e., Homemaker. I have 3 sisters and 2 brothers – I’m the last child in the family.

My father was very staunch in religious rituals. However, he was affected by Stroke and had to resign his job. Thereafter, things turned upside down in my family. We incurred huge debts and we were unable to make ends meet – which affected our day-to-day living.

So, my family started running a Tea Stall and I managed to help my family while doing my schooling. During this period of time, I heard about the Lord Jesus and started believing in Him. I also started going to church regularly – to worship Him and to know Him more.

By God’s grace, I completed my +2 (higher secondary school education) and got 69% marks. After this, to apply for Engineering Entrance examination; Since I did not have Rs.400/-, I did not inform my parents about my interest of writing Entrance Examination.

Later, I met my cricket team friend on the playground and he told me about the Polytechnic course. So, I went to the Polytechnic College and enquired about the course. They asked me Rs.21,000/-.  So, I told them that I would come immediately with my parents. On my way home, I decided to join a Tea Stall as a Tea Maker so that I could earn Rs.150/- as pay for a 12-hour job in overnight market at Tirunelveli.

During this period of time,  one Friday I prayed to the Lord saying, “If it is Your will, please give me a seat in the Polytechnic College and let me join directly in the second year.” No one knew this prayer I made – except me and my Lord.

The next day, during the Youth Fellowship Meeting in our church, prayer requests were being collected. So, I narrated my prayer request. My church Pastor who heard my prayer request from the kitchen said, “We could go on Monday to the Polytechnic College.”  He also said that his brother was working in the same place where the college is situated.

By His grace,  the Lord gave me a direct Second Year seat for Diploma in Computer Technology in that Polytechnic College. I had to pay about Rs.13,000/- as  fee, but someone came and paid the first semester fees for me. In the meantime, my father got education loan for the rest of my studies.

On first day of my college, the Lecturer came and said,  “Note down the First experiment for Lab. Characteristics of Silicon Diode.” Using my limited English knowledge I attempted to spell and write…”Ch…” that’s all! I could not write further as I did not know the spelling.

Troubled, I came home and prayed to God for His mercy and wisdom.

My studies continued and the final year exam results came. Even I couldn’t believe the marks I got – as told by my friend, over the phone. So, I went to the college to check whether results had come correct or not. By His grace, God gave me FIRST PLACE in the entire college. God also helped me to get DISTRICT FIRST PLACE with 100% marks in a tough paper. All over Tamilnadu – among a total of 1.5 lakhs students – I was ranked as the 28th with an overall 97% (having lost 17 marks).

The Lord helped me to get a B.E. seat as well. During this time, financial situation in my family was very bad. Sometimes I did not have even Rs.8/- to go and come back from college. So, I used to wait in the bus stand to see the bus in which my friend comes and will request him to get a ticket for me.

Though I studied under Anna University syllabus, during the entire period of my engineering studies; I never purchased even a single book. Only Xerox copies or notes taken during class hours, group studies and notes from Lecturers were the books for me. The Lord was so good to me and blessed me to get two gold medals in my Engineering College.

In the meantime, my father was admitted in the Government Hospital . The Doctor called me and said, “Your father will live only up to 48 hours. So, prepare the last rites for him.” My mother and I decided to immediately discharge him and took my father to Church and prayed for God’s mercy. God heard our prayers and saved my father. He is now accepted the Lord Jesus as his saviour and is still living in this world for His glory.

Subsequently, I started my career with a salary of Rs.1,500/-. God lifted me up step-by-step and now I am working in a US based MNC IT Company for the past 4 years. I, along with my wife and daughter, am living in the USA. This is purely the mercy of the Lord. After my VISA processing, I have been promoted to the next-level, which is again a Miracle from God to me who ensures that “All things are possible with God”.

I cannot not stop crying simply – when I remember my past. The Lord is good and His mercy endures forever and ever. He takes care of everything for us.

Now, I believe the Bible verse in my Internet Messenger note, “The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good. Psalms 34:10” is TRUE to the best of my knowledge.

I humbly give ALL the Glory to The Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ….

This is a personal testimony of an IT professional who is hailing from Tirunelveli, India and currently works for a US based Tier 1 IT company.

From being a Programmer to Director of the company

From being a Programmer to Director of the company

I had a very humble beginning in my career in the IT industry. Fresh out of college, I was not even confident to do a single program on my own. Although I had dreamed of joining a big IT firm, where I hoped to get trained, God placed me in a very small company. I found work very hard and often beyond my capability and I used to wonder why God ever placed me there. I used to get very dejected when I could not perform as per expectations. Things did not look very smooth for me and I began to ponder over switching to a place where I may feel more comfortable, but the Lord never allowed me to move out and instead one day He whispered in my ears that He would lift me up to a very high level in the same company.

How could that ever happen?

I wondered. My performance was not good, the people in the company did not look very impressed with my work and the company itself was very small and I could not comprehend what God meant by lifting me in that place. Days went by, and God began to teach me things with His wisdom, even through many mistakes I made. As I humbled myself, God began to perform miracles through the projects and I began to see results. In every step of my career God proved His word in 2Cor 12:9
“My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness”.

Step by step God lifted me and 5 years later I saw God’s promise coming to pass literally in my life when I was placed as a Director in the same company.

This was not something I ever imagined or asked God for. But God was faithful to His word and I once again knew what it meant in 1Co 1:27
“But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise”

I know beyond a shadow of doubt that none of the successes in projects that I handled, happened because of my strength or ability. Whenever I cried out to Him at the lowest times, He has faithfully come to help me and give me perfect success.

To all those out there especially in the IT industry, let me leave behind a humble word. It may look like a world of stress, but the most difficult problem we may face or the hardest deadline ahead of us is just too a simple for the Lord to handle.

You may feel incompetent to face it, but having tasted the miracle working power and grace of God time and again in the most challenging situations I have faced, I can boldly testify that “Nothing is too hard for the Lord” (Jer 32:17). He will never put to shame those that depend on Him totally. God never failed me. It doesn’t matter how much you know or how good you are, just focus on Jesus alone, and do everything assigned to you as if done for the Lord. Success will surely be yours. May the God of Joseph and Daniel who showered them with wisdom and lifted them and made them the heads, be with each of you and bless you and give you success in everything you do. Remember you are more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus. God bless you.

This testimony is from an engineer in India, now working as Director in a software firm in Chennai. She is being used mightily by God in various ways and a great testimony for all Corporate.

God exalted me!

God exalted me!

The LORD will make you the head and not the tail. (Deut. 28:13)

Praise the Lord for His ways! I am really excited and happy today to share with you, what the Lord has done in my life.  It is the most joyous moment, I could experience in my life…as I have been awarded the “Associate of the Quarter” from my project. When I got the award, I was completely amazed, for the way God has been honoring His children.

Seriously, I was reminded of the love and faithfulness of my Heavenly Father, because even my other teammates were surprised to see this.  I joined the project team during October 2005; and have been recognized and awarded as an achiever within a short scale of 10 months! It is just by His grace. All glory to Him! One thing I have been experiencing for the past couple of years is that, ‘the works we do for God will never go in vain’.

I wish to also thank all my loving friends; who have upheld me in their prayers. Thanks a billion!

Escaped from Death, Right on Time!!

Escaped from Death, Right on Time!!

Our God is the God of salvation; and to GOD the Lord belong escapes from death. (Psalm 68:20)

It was an early Sunday morning, the10th of July 2005; the clock had ticked half pass one. After a party, my brother and I were leaving Hotel Savera to return home. I am residing at Anna Nager, Chennai. Even now, I can still remember that we were approaching Halls Road, Kilpauk; but after that I do not know what happened! When I reopened my eyes after 10 long days, I was on a hospital bed!

What I now share about my tragic accident is from what my parents and friends told me.

My brother and I were both badly hit by a tanker lorry! My loving brother had died on the spot and I was lying on the road bleeding, severely wounded in my skull and legs. By God’s grace, a Police Patrol came there immediately, at the right time and took me to Kilpauk Medical Hospital. I was administered First-Aid, just in time. If the Police had come late or First-Aid had been administered late, I would have died.  However, God sent help just on time!  Initially, I was in the Government Hospital (GH) and then was moved to Apollo Hospital. By around 5 a.m., the Doctor came to the Hospital and operated on me till 7:00 a.m., even though it was a Sunday.

Before the Doctor entered the Operation Theatre (OT) – after having briefly examined my critical condition, considered it ‘hopeless’.  So, he frankly told the people who were waiting on me that they could stay outside, to receive my dead body. But my loving GOD mercifully touched me with His nail pierced hands and gave me life!

However, after the operation, when I was in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), I suddenly caught an infection.  The Doctors desperately administered several injections but in vain! Finally, before administering one last injection, the Doctor told my parents, ‘I have tried several injections, this is the last option that I have; the rest is left into God’s hands!’ Even in this critical situation, my precious God did yet another miracle and I was surprisingly healed of the infection!

Before I regained consciousness, I needed 18 units of blood and got it miraculously. At every point, I could see that God sent people to help right on time!  I opened my eyes after 10 days, from the day of my accident; but started to speak only after a month. I was in the Hospital for 50 days, discharged and then convalescing for 5 months. I was on leave from 11thJuly to 12th December, 2005.

The same Doctor who had initially told those who were waiting on me, to stay outside – only to take my dead body, was amazed and said that it was a very fast recovery that he had ever witnessed!  I am a second Daniel for him. I am still astonished, when I consider the miraculous and wonderful ways God rescued us right on time, at every step of physical ‘n mental agony and pain that I, my parents and my friends went through.

Today, I am still in the same job with CTS that God had given me before the tragic accident.

Dear friends, I may not know the very purpose for which God has kept me alive, but I will stand for His glory till my last breath.

Terrorist attacks, 7 Bomb Blast in Mumbai (India) Local Trains on 11th July 2006

11th July 2006, this day will be indeed remember and go down in not only in the history of our city Mumbai (India) but also innumerable families that have suffered irrepairable damage it has caused.

There were 7 Bomb blast that took place on the 11th July 2006 on the life line of Mumbai in the local trains, hundreds of people were injured and many lost their life.

In one such train that took off from Churchgate station and arrived at Andheri Station at around 5:53 pm was boarded by me. For my colleague and me things seemed normal and as usual over crowded. Just before the train arrived Mira Road Station, I got place to sit, seeing my senior colleague standing I offered him my seat to which he refused saying that he was all right.

As we were casually conversing with each other all of sudden a loud BLAST took place in the same first class compartment were I was seated in. Within a matter of a split second all the people standing and seated with me in the compartment were thrown all over the place with multiple injuries and lifeless bodies filled the place.

Due to the blast, the compartment was ripped open sending down train fixtures such as fans, tube lights/bulb fittings, switch boards, iron rods etc. An electric switch box fell and rested on me sending down a high voltage electric shock that shook me violently from head to toe that’s when I cried aloud JESUS, JESUS, JESUS that was a desperate cry for help and HE did, His presence filled the compartment (Psalms 91: 15 says: He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble;  I will deliver him, and honour him.) (Act 2 : 21 says: And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of JESUS shall be saved.) andthat electric box fell off by it self, Hallelujah !

When I opened my eyes and looked around I saw people fallen all around me, one person was right on my lap his face was disfigured and was bleeding, to my amazement I found out that I was the only person in that compartment who still remained seated and the rest were thrown all over. (Psalm 91: 7 says :  A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. )  Some how I managed to pull out my hands and legs from under the people fallen over me and jumped out of the wreckage without a scratch on my body (Psalms 91: 11-12 says :  For He shall give His angles charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone).and (Psalms 34 : 20 tells us : He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.)

The people who managed to crawl out of the compartment tried to speak to each other but due to the loud sound our eardrums were badly damaged. I walked to a nearby station where some strangers helped me to find a hospital and started my treatment. The E.N.T Specialist who checked my ears initially said that both my eardrums are ruptured badly and I’ll required a surgery. We prayed that night and the next day the doctor said that though both my ear drums are ruptured its amazing that my hearing was good !  Hallelujah !!!!

Now a month later on 18th August 2006 Doctor checked my ears and was amazed at the speedy recovery and gave a report stating eardrums healed, no surgery required. Praise be to JESUS. (Isaiah 53 : 5  says : JESUS was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed) That’s why I share this testimony so others can know that JESUS IS ALIVE and He is our Saviour and our Healer.
