Extraordinary Women Of God [1] : Ruth’s Unwavering Commitment
Read : Ruth 1:16-17 But Ruth said, “Do not urge me to leave you or turn back from following you; for where you go, I will go, and where you lodge, I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God. Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. Thus may the Lord do to me, and worse, if anything but death parts you and me.”
Examine : A family went from Judah to Moab to escape famine. The man’s name was Elimelech; his wife’s name was Naomi; his sons were named Mahlon and Kilion. Elimelech died and Naomi was left, she and her two sons. The sons took Moabite wives; the name of the first was Orpah, the second Ruth. Later two brothers, Mahlon and Kilion, died.
When Naomi hears Judah’s situation has changed, she decides to go back, but she tells her two daughters-in-law to go back. Go home and live with your mothers, when she saw them following her. But Ruth insisted and when Naomi saw that Ruth had her heart set on going with her, she gave in. And so the two of them traveled on together to Bethlehem. Later she comes to Bethlehem with Naomi gets married to Boaz and becomes the great-grandmother of David.
Application : In this small book of 4 chapters, we see Ruth speaking around 7 times during very critical situations. When Naomi forces Ruth to go back, we see Ruth’s love, loyalty, and determination to stay with Naomi (Ruth 1:16,17). Later when they came to Judah we see Ruth requesting to go to work without any complaints (Run 2:2). When Ruth is in the field and she receives favor from Boaz the owner of the field, we see Ruth being grateful for every little thing and express the thankfulness (Ruth 2:10).
Boaz hearing this response shows more kindness by letting Ruth continue in the field, and Ruth replies that she does not deserve this kind of favor, it shows Ruth is so humble and content. When she comes back and explains to Naomi, we see Ruth so transparent and remembers Boaz’s instruction to stay close to his servants (Ruth 2:21). As the story goes on Naomi asks difficult things of Ruth and we see her absolute obedience without asking Questions (Ruth 3:5). Response to Boaz in the field that she wanted to be under Boaz wings and asking Him to redeem her, shows her trust and truth. (Ruth 3:9)
Decision[s] : Lord I want to be like Ruth in relation to Jesus. Committed to Jesus till my death, love with all my heart, and follow Jesus even if it costs my life. Also I learn from Ruth the lessons of hard work, gratefulness, no complaints, and absolute obedience.

Blessed New Year 2024
Dear Workplace Fellowship Warrior,
WFM-CCF wishes you and your family a Blessed New Year 2024 , filled with blessings from the Lord.

Post COVID, many employees have changed their polices of working professionals as remote or hybrid working , especially in IT & ITES sector and hence, many workplace fellowships have been reduced to few members. This leads to a similar situation that we read in 2 Kings chapter 3.
When we look forward for 2024 with the new way of working, let us look forward with the promise from the Lord for 2024 to renew and restoration in our workplace fellowships.
16 And he said, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Make this valley full of ditches.
17 For thus says the Lord: ‘You shall not see wind, nor shall you see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, so that you, your cattle, and your animals may drink.’ 18 And this is a simple matter in the sight of the Lord;

7 Actions for Wisdom in Communication – Proverbs 26:4
🌟Embracing Wisdom at Work: 7 Actions Inspired by Proverbs 26:4 🌟
As we navigate the dynamic landscape of the professional world, let’s draw inspiration from the timeless wisdom of Proverbs. Today, let’s explore the profound truth encapsulated in Proverbs 26:4: “Do not answer a fool according to his folly, or you yourself will be just like him.”
1️⃣ Choose Your Battles Wisely: Not every disagreement warrants a response. Evaluate the situation, and opting for silence when engaging may only perpetuate unnecessary conflict.
2️⃣ Maintain Professional Demeanor: In the face of provocations, uphold your professional standards. Responding impulsively to foolishness may compromise your credibility.
3️⃣ Focus on Solutions: Instead of getting entangled in fruitless debates, channel your energy into finding solutions. Prove your worth through constructive actions rather than engaging in unproductive arguments.
4️⃣ Lead by Example: Demonstrate wisdom through your actions. Be a beacon of rationality and prudence, setting a standard that encourages a positive and productive work environment.
5️⃣ Empathy and Understanding: Seek to understand the motives behind others’ actions. Responding with empathy can defuse tension and open doors to more constructive communication.
6️⃣ Cultivate a Growth Mindset: Embrace the opportunity to learn from every situation. Instead of responding to foolishness with frustration, view it as a chance to grow and develop resilience.
7️⃣ Promote a Culture of Respect: Encourage a workplace culture that values respectful communication. Foster an environment where differing opinions can coexist without unnecessary discord.
Let’s commit to incorporating these actions into our professional lives, leveraging the wisdom of Proverbs to navigate the complexities of the workplace with grace and effectiveness. 💼✨
