Rev 21:3-6 I heard a loud voice speaking from the throne: “Now God’s home is with people! He will live with them, and they shall be his people. God himself will be with them, and he will be their God. He will wipe away all tears from their eyes. There will be no more death, no more grief or crying or pain. The old things have disappeared.”

 Then the one who sits on the throne said, “And now I make all things new!” He also said to me, “Write this, because these words are true and can be trusted.” And he said, “It is done! I am the first and the last, the beginning and the end. To anyone who is thirsty I will give the right to drink from the spring of the water of life without paying for it. 

I want to meditate on Rev 21:3-6, let me start by reading the verse 5 – the word of God “He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!”

It is the great plan of the Almighty to change our sinful and painful past and present to a beautiful future. Lord is making everything new. Yes, every area of our life needs to go to the next level of God’s plans. So let us meditate a few of His promises of making everything new. – Want to learn of Lord’s Care, Comfort, and Control

Lord Cares: And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God Rev 21:3 Wow! Lord calls us His people and our precious Father promises to live in the midst of us. Why worry?

Lord Comforts: ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Rev 21:4 Lord sees our pain, He is our deliverer and Lord promises that our older order will pass away. Hold to the Lord, His time for deliverance is at the door. Why Fear?

Lord Controls.: Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”  He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End Rev 21:5,6 When things are not going as planned, Lord is telling, Lord is in control and He knows the end of it. Why doubt?

Final Thought: We need a new beginning let us ask the Lord who cares, comforts and controls

, I want to meditate on 1 Sam 30:19, the word of God “Nothing was missing: young or old, boy or girl, plunder or anything else they had taken. David brought everything back.” This is an amazing result of a very tough situation.

Have you been cheated by someone? Are you hurt by someone’s behavior? Are you in a desperate situation? David went through the same situation. He went to help the Philistines to fight a battle while he was running away from Saul, they did not trust him and they sent him away. When he came back to his camp; Amalekites had come and took everything from the camp, their full families and all goods. Seeing this, people with Him deserted David and even they talked of stoning David

In that situation, 1 Sam 30:6 “But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God”

1 Sam 30:8 David inquired of the Lord. Ask the Lord, what I should do.

David went. On the way David found an Egyptian servant who was left behind by Amalekites, David found the camp through him, defeated the enemies, got back everything.

The lessons, David strengthened himself in the Lord his God. When every hope is gone. get your strength from God by trusting him. Please pour out your pain to God and take His peace in turn. David inquired of the Lord. Ask the Lord, what I should do. Paul at Damascus asked What do you want me to do? Jehosaphat asked Oh Lord my eyes are on you, what should we do, we do not know what to do. Listen to God’s voice and obey. Take an action at the order of the Almighty. Stop sitting and crying, Start doing what the Lord has commanded.

Final thought: Be strengthened, inquire, and Act

Praise the Lord, today is July 21st I want to meditate on 1 Thess 4: 16,17 – The word of  God “For the Lord himself will come down from heaven….after that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air“

Our friends, we want you to know the truth about those who have died, so that you will not be sad, as are those who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will take back with Jesus those who have died believing in him.

What we are teaching you now is the Lord’s teaching: we who are alive on the day the Lord comes will not go ahead of those who have died. There will be the shout of command, the archangel’s voice, the sound of God’s trumpet, and the Lord himself will come down from heaven. Those who have died believing in Christ will rise to life first; then we who are living at that time will be gathered up along with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord. So then, encourage one another with these words.

The greatest truth in the Bible is Jesus will come back. Jesus promised His disciples that He would come again. John 14:3 says, “.. I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” Jesus said that day only God the Father knows.

Let us just think together, what if God Father sends Jesus back to this earth tonight, in that coming one thing is sure, At Jesus’ second coming the righteous dead will be raised to life and taken up to heaven along with the righteous who are still alive on the earth.

A few questions to ponder? Will you be excited to meet Jesus? Do we know the great joy of being in Heaven? When all our deeds are passed through the fire of God what will remain? Will there be anyone in heaven who came to know Jesus because of us? Will those who go to hell accuse us of not sharing the truth with them? Will we be crying about all the missed opportunities to share the gospel? Today are we passionate about focusing on the second coming?

If there is fear about where you will go? Run now to the throne of mercy and set right with God. It is terrible to be doomed into the eternal fire of hell. First Jesus came as the lamb to pay for our sins, Jesus is coming back as King to judge our sins.

Final thought – Live a life waiting and preparing for the coming of Jesus.

Question: What to do in the tough time
