Escaped from Death, Right on Time!!

Escaped from Death, Right on Time!!

Our God is the God of salvation; and to GOD the Lord belong escapes from death. (Psalm 68:20)

It was an early Sunday morning, the10th of July 2005; the clock had ticked half pass one. After a party, my brother and I were leaving Hotel Savera to return home. I am residing at Anna Nager, Chennai. Even now, I can still remember that we were approaching Halls Road, Kilpauk; but after that I do not know what happened! When I reopened my eyes after 10 long days, I was on a hospital bed!

What I now share about my tragic accident is from what my parents and friends told me.

My brother and I were both badly hit by a tanker lorry! My loving brother had died on the spot and I was lying on the road bleeding, severely wounded in my skull and legs. By God’s grace, a Police Patrol came there immediately, at the right time and took me to Kilpauk Medical Hospital. I was administered First-Aid, just in time. If the Police had come late or First-Aid had been administered late, I would have died.  However, God sent help just on time!  Initially, I was in the Government Hospital (GH) and then was moved to Apollo Hospital. By around 5 a.m., the Doctor came to the Hospital and operated on me till 7:00 a.m., even though it was a Sunday.

Before the Doctor entered the Operation Theatre (OT) – after having briefly examined my critical condition, considered it ‘hopeless’.  So, he frankly told the people who were waiting on me that they could stay outside, to receive my dead body. But my loving GOD mercifully touched me with His nail pierced hands and gave me life!

However, after the operation, when I was in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), I suddenly caught an infection.  The Doctors desperately administered several injections but in vain! Finally, before administering one last injection, the Doctor told my parents, ‘I have tried several injections, this is the last option that I have; the rest is left into God’s hands!’ Even in this critical situation, my precious God did yet another miracle and I was surprisingly healed of the infection!

Before I regained consciousness, I needed 18 units of blood and got it miraculously. At every point, I could see that God sent people to help right on time!  I opened my eyes after 10 days, from the day of my accident; but started to speak only after a month. I was in the Hospital for 50 days, discharged and then convalescing for 5 months. I was on leave from 11thJuly to 12th December, 2005.

The same Doctor who had initially told those who were waiting on me, to stay outside – only to take my dead body, was amazed and said that it was a very fast recovery that he had ever witnessed!  I am a second Daniel for him. I am still astonished, when I consider the miraculous and wonderful ways God rescued us right on time, at every step of physical ‘n mental agony and pain that I, my parents and my friends went through.

Today, I am still in the same job with CTS that God had given me before the tragic accident.

Dear friends, I may not know the very purpose for which God has kept me alive, but I will stand for His glory till my last breath.

God helped me build my house!

God helped me build my house!

Unless the LORD builds the house, they labor in vain who build it;

(Psalm 127:1)

I’m working in an IT company in Chennai.  I attend a weekly prayer fellowship that is being conducted by some of my colleagues during the break time, outside our Company campus.

Recently, I had raised a prayer request during our regular prayer fellowship. I had purchased a land to build my house. I had to provide advance money to the Builder.  Initially, the Builder said that I could approach any bank to raise the money. So, I went to a nationalized bank to get a Home Loan. I also gave Rs.2500/- to initiate the Home Loan process. The bank had also promptly started the process to provide me the loan.  But when I had to collect the ‘approved house plan’ and certain other forms from the Builder; the Builder said that they won’t accept it; if a nationalized bank is the financier!

I was in a fix!  I cannot undo the ‘home loan’ process already set in motion by the nationalized bank. So also, I was not in a position to go for yet another loan with some other bank, as chosen by my house builder! So, before I went to meet the Builder; I raised a prayer request in our weekly prayer fellowship, that the Builder should accept the Home Loan already raised in a nationalized bank. My brothers and sisters in the Lord Jesus Christ prayed for me.  After 5 days, I went to meet the Builder. He again repeated the same old story; saying that they will not accept it if a nationalized bank is the financier!  I thought the reason behind this was that Government banks would have to be provided more documents compared to a Private bank.  However, when conversing with him, I came to know that his main concern was about money being delayed from the nationalized bank!  Anyway, a good rapport was established with the Builder and finally he accepted to have the same nationalized bank to be the financier!

I Praise and Thank God for He answered our prayer.

IT Job for ME? – A MIRACLE!

IT Job for ME? – A MIRACLE!

Hi all,

I would like to testify one of the marvelous things that our great LORD has done for me.

First of all; me joining an IT Company is a great miracle! I would like to start off with that. My childhood dream was to become a pilot in the Indian Air Force (IAF). Everyday I dreamt about it and was at the same time praying to the Lord Jesus Christ about it too. December 19th 7:00 a.m., I was supposed to report at Mysore Railway Station, to go to the IAF Academy. So I left the previous day to Mysore, to stay at my aunt’s place. She being a powerful lady for the Lord; prayed over me and finally gave this verse, “If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. John 14:14”. All the more encouraged, I left for the IAF Academy on 19th morning to take up a test called ‘ Pilot Aptitude and Battery Test’ (PABT), the first test to qualify – for becoming a pilot.

At 11:30 a.m. the results were out. My heart stopped for a moment, when they finished reading out the names of those who were selected; as they did not call out my name. Since it is a ‘once in a life time test’ – I can never attempt it again in my life! My heart broke to pieces as though I had lost my life! My dreams were shattered! Being so childish; I fought with my dear Father Lord who was so patient ‘n knew, that it was not the place where I should be. Knowing very well that we shouldn’t ask the question “WHY” to our Lord, still I continued. Not stopping with that I fought with Him asking why he took me there because I had packed a huge ‘n heavy luggage for 5 days – spending lot of money – on all the things that the IAF academy has asked me to bring. However, if I fail the 1st day test, I have to get back home the very same day.

There a Wing Commander saw my eyes filled with tears, called me ‘n asked what my qualification was. Then he asked me whether I am prepared to take up a test to join as a Technical Officer. I said ‘yes’ and I wrote the test for 3 full hours. The officers asked us to stay in the Academy there and kept the suspense of the results till next day morning. That night I prayed, asking God for forgiveness and requesting Him do according to His Will.

The next day, morning at 7 the results were out! They selected only 2 girls out of 10 and I was one among them!! I jumped with joy and so I stayed there for 5 days. Out of 250 girls who came on the first day, only 12 girls remained till the 5th day and I was the only girl from South India. Our Gracious Father in Heaven was so faithful to me even when I was so unfaithful and ungrateful to Him. At the end of the 5th day, they interviewed us and they selected only pilots; but I was rejected. I didn’t bother much! I was very happy that the Lord took me that far, by His grace. Actually, I wanted to become a fighter pilot to fly planes during wars and fight for the nation; but later on I realized that there is no greater honor than to be at Our Lord’s feet!

December 24th 8:00 a.m., I returned to Chennai and was narrating the whole incident to my family. Impulsively, I went out to check my email at 1:00 p.m. and found an email from an IT Company – calling me for a written test on December 24th(the very same day), at 2:00 p.m. I immediately rushed to Adyar; with a small word of prayer. God lead me from there on to get placed into that same IT Company where I am able to proclaim His glorious and His marvelous works!

The following is yet another wonder that the LORD did in my life. I was transferred to the vicinity of Navalur last month from in ‘n around Thoraipakkam. As Navalur is very far from my place, I was really very upset about this transfer. I wanted to get back to being at least near ‘n around Thoraipakkam. Moreover, I also did not want to leave the weekly prayer fellowship taking place near Thoraipakkam. I shared this prayer point with one of the members of our prayer fellowship, who encouraged me by saying that there is a prayer fellowship near Navalur also. After a week or so my Project Leader (PL) told me that the entire project was getting shifted near to Thoraipakkam and that I will have to report for work there, from September 2006. Praise be to God Almighty and His Son the Lord Jesus Christ for His awesome and marvelous works!Even though we are at times so very unfaithful and caught up with our desires, He remains faithful to usHe always loves us with His same never changing love. Probably, if I had been in IAF, I may not have been able to testify about the great things that He has now done in my life.

Glory to God in the Highest!

In Christ,

Revathy

Hairs Of My Head Are Numbered!

Hairs Of My Head Are Numbered!

Hi

I’m working for an IT company in Chennai.  September 2006, and the project I had been working in for a year, had come to an end. I had been working from our office (near Thoraipakkam), for the past two years.

All my team members were getting released to different projects of our office, near Navalur. I was also expecting to be released to that same branch, but God had a different plan.  I was released to a five member Team – to an office near Tidel Park. My previous team mates suggested that I ask for a release to some other project, in an around Navalur. However, I did not heed to their suggestion, because deep down I knew that God had a purpose for placing me in this new location, near Tidel Park.

It was also difficult to adjust in the new office environment; after having been at the cozy office environment, near Thoraipakkam, for nearly 2 years. A month passed by and I realized that I had adapted to the new environment. I felt God was shifting me here and there so that I could easily adapt to different environments – since I take a lot of time to adapt to changes. He is still working on me!

Now, I was using the office bus facility for everyday transportation. Towards the end of October, I received an e-mail from the Transport department stating that my bus would no longer ply by the Tidel/Elnet facilities. It would be rerouted via Velachery. I was worried on how I would come to office everyday…but God was in control!

I also came to know that there were discussions going on – for the past six months – to shift our project to the office, near Navalur. My team members said, “Each time the topic of shifting would crop up, nothing would come out of it, as they were never serious about it!” So I thought; ‘If we really do shift this time, it is just the Lord Jesus Christ who is behind it’.

Guess what? The week after the buses were rerouted, our five member team shifted from Tidel to the office, near Thoraipakkam (there were 5 vacant seats in this office)! The rest of the Team members got shifted to the office near Navalur!! Now, I am not facing any transport problem!!!

All Glory be to God who makes all things beautiful in His time! It is the Lord’s doing and it is marvelous in our eyes!!!!

Are not two small birds sold for a very small piece of money? And yet not one of the birds falls to the earth without your Father knowing it. God knows how many hairs you have on your head.

So do not be afraid. You are more important than many small birds.

Arms of Cushion!

Arms of Cushion!

…He who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. (Psalm 121:3, 4)

As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people from this time forth and forever.(Psalm 125:2)

Hi all,

Last weekend, we had gone for a two day trip to Kodaikanal. I was accompanied by my sister and the family of my Aunty, from Chennai.  Since we did not get train or bus tickets, we had to take our Tata Sumo. We had a great time in the hill station.

On our way back, we met with an accident! We were about 400 kilometers before Chennai. We were traveling at about 90 kilometers per hour; when the Sumo flipped onto one side and hit against a Railway Gate. All of us came out of the vehicle alive and without any injury. All Glory to God! What should have been a major accident turned out to be like a Roller-Coaster ride for all of us.

If we had crashed 1000 times, 999 times at least; one of us should have died! But thank God for His arms of cushion that was around us. He was with us; like how He was with Daniel and his friends in the fiery furnace! Only when I came out and heard people ask me questions like, ‘Did anyone survive?’ and “What God do you serve?” did I realize that it was God and only God who held us together when we crashed!!

So many verses came to my mind, which made a lot of sense to me; like the ones I put on the top – “He never slumbers nor sleeps” and “The Lord surrounds His people like the mountains of Jerusalem”…

I realized that our life here on earth is so fragile and uncertain like what the Holy Bible says “Like a breath” “flower of the field“.  I do not know how many of us wake up everyday and are actually grateful for every second that we live, for the 101 times we travel by our vehicles and yet come home safe! ‘Never take life for granted’ is what I learnt and I’m grateful for every breath that He allows me to take.

I also realized that He has put all of us here because we have not yet finished the task He has given us! That is why He did not want me home so soon.

Anyway, all six of us have been given yet another life. I just want to thank God for his amazing love!

There is no place more secure than my Father’s arms…how true….

Love

Subin.
